Hugh Hefner knocks down rumors that he is 'Super Sick'


Hugh Hefner was as surprised as anyone to learn that he was apparently on his deathbed.

"I wish the tabloids had told me a little earlier in the week I'm sick. I could have canceled my weekend plans," he joked on Twitter Friday night.

Reports began swirling Friday morning after the founder of Playboy was considered "very ill" in a gossip column New York Post Page 6 even rumors led to the LAPD to pay 90 years of age, visit home to see his welfare.

"Mr. Hefner spoke to an officer in West Los Angeles station and confirmed that's fine," LAPD officer Mike Lopez


Playboy founder Hugh Hefner is "good" and enjoy life, his spokesman said Friday, refuting a report that the auxiliary 90-year-old editor feared for his health.

The spokesman said Hefner has suffered from back pain in recent years "has made it a little harder for him to get around, but the 90-year-old is enjoying his life and remains very involved in the day to day activities of the edition of the magazine."

Enthusiast silk pajamas put things himself on the night of Friday tweeted a photo of himself, apparently alive and well with his third wife, Crystal Hefner, 30, announced that it is movie night at the Playboy mansion.

Hef tweeted again about 30 minutes later just to make it perfectly clear that rumors of his death had been greatly exaggerated.

Weight Hugh Hefner has reportedly fallen to only 90 pounds.

Sources close to the founder of Playboy say 90-year-old tycoon is "supersick" and there are great concerns about your health.

One told the New York Post: "He seems to have been reduced to about 90 pounds and supersick his people are really trying to keep this secret even have to sign a confidentiality agreement to go and see ..."

Hugh has not been seen in public since May and though he tweeted a picture of himself from his party 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' in August it reportedly was absent from the party.

Instead, his son Cooper hosted the event.

Last year, British glamor model Carla Howe said Hugh - who is also known as Hef - he was too ill to participate in his famous hedonistic parties.

She said: "Hef is so fragile, that goes everywhere with a group of nurses."

He added that "never leaves home" and goes to bed at 19:00 after watching old movies.

However, a spokesman Hugh - who is now married to 30-year-old Crystal Hefner - insisted that is fine.

They said: "Hugh Hefner's OK It's no secret that in recent years has suffered from back pain that has made it a little harder for him to get around, but the 90-year-old is enjoying his life . and still very involved in the day-to-day edition of the magazine. "
